French Learning Overview – Autumn Term

We’re excited to let you know that this term, your child will begin their journey into learning French! Our aim is to make this a fun and engaging experience that builds curiosity and confidence in using a new language.

We’ll start by exploring French history and culture, helping children understand where France is located, discover some of its major cities, and learn about its vibrant capital, Paris. This cultural foundation will give them a sense of connection to the language and its people.

Following this, children will begin learning the French alphabet, numbers up to 30, and some basic greetings. These early language skills will help them start to communicate in French and lay the groundwork for future learning.
